Cha-am is about 2 hours drive south of Bangkok and can be reached by road, rail and air.
RoadTake a taxi from Bangkok. It should cost you around 2,000 baht. Hire a car and drive. Daily rates should be around 1,000 baht including insurance for a basic family car. RailYou can take the train from Bangkok straight to Cha-am. It takes about 4 hours depending on the type of train. There is a station right in the centre of town. This is a slower way to travel but can be a great experience! BusAir conditioned buses leave Bangkok's Southern Bus Station every day. It takes about 3 hours. |
